I choose to found my business on LONG TERM STRATEGY AND ACCOUNTABILITY MENTOR SHIP.
I wanted to help busy business mums GET REAL about how they could actually turn their dream life into their really life. (In case you are wondering, step one to achieving that is getting out your own way – really its you!).
I was lucky in my corporate role. I could work from home, work around the school run and generally manage my own time.
My work gave me the illusion of freedom in an employee/employer environment but it didn’t take away the fact that most of my ACTUAL TIME was spent working to grow someone else’s business.
I wasn’t particularly happy a lot of the time.
I felt like a big failure most days.
I either forgot something at work, or something at home.
I was constantly on a hamster wheel and most days in some way or another were fucking hard.
I was travelling for work, had two kids, both with out of school activities, a partner that I wanted to prioritise but wasn’t really. Friends I wanted to see, a body I wanted to look after and a brain I REALLY wanted to use.
I need to take a bit of that on the chin.
I am driven.
I want success.
I want to travel.
I want to be financially free.
Those ambitions don’t come without work but reality is as an employee those wants were only ever going to be as feasible as far as my JOB would allow or support.
I don’t have that issue now. I do not plan on having that issue ever again!
I have built a business where I can share my skills and experience and help other women step away from that hamster wheel by applying strategic business principals to all aspects of their life!
It isn’t particularly sexy, but…
It is logical.
It is measured.
It is focused.
It does create and maintain action, direction and results.
There are so many avenues in business and so many view points and ‘noise’ over what you should be doing and what direction you should be going that entrepreneurs allow themselves to be distracted from the exact targets they are trying to hit!
FOCUS – PLAN – SUCCEED
DESIRE – ACTION – RESULT
DREAM – CREATE – REALITY
What ever way you look at it. You need a strategy underpinning it!
KNOW YOUR GOALS!!
Stop throwing shit at the wall waiting to see what sticks.
